April 2025

We have new door tags that need to be distributed!

If you're interested in delivering door tags to homes to spread the word about NTNSM, LLC reapplying for an Air Permit to operate a Permanent Rock and Concrete Crusher, then we'd love to have your help! Please text 903.815.8275 to pick up door tags and share what area you are interested in delivering these to (so we don't hit the same homes twice)! It takes a village to spread the word, and we are so grateful in advance for your help!

Updated March 31, 2025.

The current deadline is April 3, 2025. Here’s how you can help:

UNDERSTAND THE PERMIT

Despite concerns about air quality, this permit will likely be re-approved unless there is a technical non-compliance with the application. This air permit is for a MOBILE CRUSHER, meaning the equipment can move around the site as long as it remains 220 feet from the property border and 440 yards from any single-family home.

However, North Texas Natural Select Materials, LLC has failed to document several residences adjacent to their property. The image below shows the most recent "PLOT PLAN" provided with NTNSM’s updated permit application filed in March 2025. Two of the missing residences are circled in red.

Missing Residences Include:

  • 78 Woodcroft, Sherman, Texas (Grayson CAD ID: 267274)

  • Montes Lane, Denison, Texas (Grayson CAD ID: 116060)

  • 4285 S. Fannin Avenue, Denison, Texas (Grayson CAD: 116489) The northern section of the NTNSM application map does not fully display the property, and this residence needs to be marked to clarify the north boundary of NTNSM's property.

MAKE A PUBLIC COMMENT

One of the most critical actions you can take is by submitting a public comment to the TEXAS COMMISSION ON ENVIRONMENTAL EQUALITY (TCEQ) website. Please take a moment TODAY to submit a public comment on the TCEQ website: Comment on a Pending Permit Application. Enter the permit number 175198 in the designated box. After entering the permit number and your contact information, please explain why you oppose having a Concrete Crushing Plant in a residential area in Grayson County, Texas. Remember, any adult in your household (including adult children) can submit a comment, and friends or family members can do so, even if they don't live locally. The more comments, the better, especially to highlight that TCEQ has not been properly informed about all the residences in the area on NTNSM's property.

You can also read your neighbor's comments here.

SUPPORT LEGAL EFFORTS

While it is uncertain whether TCEQ will approve or deny this permit, the law firm handling the case must gather any information during the Public Comment period and prepare their argument. If the air permit is approved, a group of dedicated neighbors is prepared to take legal action against TCEQ for not following proper guidelines. There is no minimum financial contribution required to join this effort. If you want to join this group or learn more, please email us at nodenisoncrusher@gmail.com.

We are also raising funds to cover legal fees for continuing our work with the law firm that filed the original motion to overturn and successfully had it approved. You can donate by dropping off cash or checks in the locked mailbox at 4476 S. Fannin Avenue, Denison, TX 75021. Donations of any amount are appreciated. Please make checks payable to MSMW Law Firm.
